Responsibilities: 

Reporting to the Director of Operations Eastern Canada and working closely with the Engineering Team, the Production Engineer will be responsible to ensure the company’s work scope is manufactured and installed to the proper industry standards.


  • Plan and establish the sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble a product
  • Participate in design reviews of various projects and ensure design consistent with fabrication methodologies
  • Assist with managing BOMs (Bill of Materials) and reporting progress on a weekly basis
  • Participate in pre-production meetings
  • Collaborate in the analysis and resolution of various production problems
  • Verify and update drawings packages for fabrication
  • Participate in material selection and get information from (potential) suppliers
  • Inspect equipment and material to ensure conformance
  • Prepare estimates for change orders in the scope of work
  • Prepare quotation for ductwork and equipment
  • Review fabrication/construction methods on-site to assure product integrity
  • Participate in production processes improvement
  • Assist in commissioning activities and balancing of HVAC systems

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering
  • 3 + years experience
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects within a fast-paced environment
  • Exposure to HVAC component Design, Refrigeration system (an asset)
  • Excellent 2D and 3D design skills (AutoCAD & or Inventor preferred)
  • Attention to quality and detail, as well as being a quick learner with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Desire to perform fieldwork and participate in on-ship tasks
  • Must be able to meet security clearance requirements
