Benefits & Perks:
Hybrid work style (M-W or W-F)
Review and process complex payroll, for multi-cycle payroll, including employees, self-employed and LTDs. Including allowances, per diems, and expense report claims
Liaison with internal employees, temps/contractors, and external sources
Respond to queries on contractor payroll
Key in a high volume of daily timesheets
Complete time and expenses accurately and on time
Accounting Approve New Hires and Rehires
Process contractor/temp Stops and Records of Employments
Respond to Service Canada requests
Respond to Webpay requests and E-Time requests
Process Requirements for Change Requests
Assist in best practices in quality, efficiencies, customer service, and standard processes
Must have at least two years working within a payroll or related fast-paced business environment
Knowledge of federal and provincial payroll guidelines
Understanding of overtime and statutory holiday rules across all provinces
Strong data entry and computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
Basic analytical skills, including the ability to collect and analyze information
Organized, detailed oriented, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Good interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
Must be team-oriented with the ability to take direction or work independently when required
Must have a willingness to learn and take responsibility for own learning
