Our client, a mid-sized downtown law firm, has partnered with David Aplin on the search for a Legal Assistant for their growing Family Law practice. This position will provide support to a Partner as well as an Associate. The successful candidate will have the option of a hybrid work schedule (ideally three days a week in-office.)

Obtaining all applicable information from prospective clients to do conflict searches, open files and enter billing information
Preparing invoices, processing payments, and managing trust deposits
Drafting, proofreading, and organizing documents, pleadings, agreements, certificates, and other communications
Preparing Petitions and Affidavits and managing submission of documents to the court
Managing phone calls and scheduling internal and external meetings as needed
Organizing files and other administrative tasks as needed
A minimum of two years of legal administration experience
Family law experience is a strong asset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Superior attention to detail and proofreading skills
Proficiency with MS Office
Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
