Join a top employer and advance your career. Our client, a leader in their field, has partnered with David Aplin Group to hire an IT Asset Coordinator based in Edmonton. This is a contract term until December 31st, 2022, with an opportunity for extension or permanency.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Compiles, prioritizes, schedules, and performs annual software reconciliations for all installed software products to ensure the organization is in compliance with all Usage and Deployments rights and/or obligations contained in the Governing Agreement(s)
  • Produces detailed & summary audit reports as a result of completed software reconciliations, thereby enabling the organization to be ready for any potential manufacturing software audit demands
  • Identifies savings opportunities during the reconciliation process to ensure the organization receives value for investments
  • Consults with various stakeholders to help interpret license models and remediation requirements when found to be non-compliant
  • Facilitates and tracks remediation of non-compliant software reconciliations
  • Identifies opportunities to simplify and or standardize license versions when appropriate
  • Ensures adequate preparation of both physical and electronic records dealing with IT assets
  • Ensures the accuracy of IT asset tracking information from all sources and implements the utmost care to avoid inadvertent error
  • Researches all new concepts and shares the knowledge to help make the best decisions possible in regard to adopting new policies, processes, procedures, and technologies
  • Develops, implements and promotes policies, processes, and procedures for software/hardware acquisitions, installations, usage, and disposition
  • Facilitates and supports the refinement or development of Asset Management & Compliance’s processes
  • Calculates and reports to Finance the Annual Hardware Replacement Values
  • Compiles and coordinates the annual Microsoft True-up in regard to active Microsoft Agreements
  • Acts as the Microsoft and IBM Passport Advantage Admin contact
  • Provides assistance and coverage for technical aspects of Asset Management & Compliance positions
  • Provides technical lead support in regard to Asset Management & Compliances’ use of tracking and inventory applications
Qualifications:
  • A post-Secondary degree or diploma from a recognized institute in Business, Finance, or Computing Science is desirable. A suitable combination of education to experience is considered.
  • Greater than 5 years’ experience in a dynamic business environment dealing with Information Technology
  • Professional designation dealing with Information Technology Asset Management is desired i.e., CSAM, CITAM, etc.
  • Familiarity with various financial policies and practices (IFRS) is an asset
  • Familiarity with various acquisition legislations (CFTA/NWPTA) is an asset
  • Proficient in all standard Office tools (Excel/word/project)
  • Experience working with Asset Management tools, (i.e., Ivanti).
