Our client is looking for a Branch Manager to join their team in Grande Prairie, AB. Our client specializes in the service and maintenance of heavy equipment parts.
 
As the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for directing and supervising the sales efforts of the branch. You will assist the general manager in developing individual sales targets for the branch and the sales reps in focusing on new customers and profitable growth. You will ensure a safe and efficient work environment for all branch personnel and communicate regularly with the corporate safety department and ensure everyone is following safety procedures and OHS rules.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Full P&L responsibilities including expense and bottom-line management
  • Ensure expectations for Territory Managers are met or exceeded. I.e., call reports, number of calls per day, target account management, account penetration, etc. In addition to supervising Sales Reps, the Branch managers will manage their own sales territory, calling on customers and developing new business
  • Work with the General Manager and Branch Managers team to contribute ideas and foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Assist Service Department in prioritizing workflow and assuring WIP is managed in a timely fashion
  • Manage a team of Parts and customer service people focusing on best-in-class customer service, improved business processes, and hands-on involvement with key large customers and quotations
  • Manage inventory to improve customer service levels while minimizing obsolescence and increasing turns
  • Deal with branch human resource issues, under the guidance of the General Manager and within company HR policies
  • Ensure a safe and efficient work environment for all branch personnel. Communicate regularly with the corporate safety department and ensure we are following all safety procedures and OHS rules
  • Work with senior management on the introduction of new product lines
  • Attend trade shows and events as required and be available for travel throughout the territory as required
Qualifications:
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Sales experience
  • Experienced in heavy equipment parts with demonstrated industry experience
  • Outstanding leadership skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to show that you can create and foster a positive culture and team environment whilst always keeping the company’s best interests in mind
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office- Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Impeccable safety record
  • Solid business acumen and management skills
