An understanding of digital communications is required, including experience planning, executing, and writing specifically for the web and other digital media. Collaborate with a high-level team and contribute experience in the following areas: Digital content creation, publishing, SEO & content optimization, UX (an asset), and digital analytics.

  • Plan, execute, and write specifically for the web and other digital media
  • Provide advice on SEO, the use of engagement metrics, data, tools, and best web writing practices to ensure digital content is achieving business objectives
  • Accountable for carrying out an organized workflow to ensure the creation, receipt, collection, organization, and inputting of content in an accurate and timely manner
  •  Write and edit content, work with other content providers, and provide advice and support on content creation according to corporate standards
  • Coordinate content across communication and marketing channels, with a primary focus on links from web content
  • Help develop, maintain, and execute content standards for many public-facing digital channels
  • Website content optimization. Create an SEO strategy keeping the organization's strategic priorities in mind. Conduct keyword research and analysis. Conduct page-level optimization. Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and colleagues supporting content requirements for the Marketing, Brand, Communications, Social Media, and Digital team
  • Review submissions regularly to ensure alignment with standards of taxonomy and metadata, clarity, organization, format, and brand/values/tone
  • Optimize search functionality and develop/ implement meta-tag data
  • Content publication. Manage, and execute incoming requests for content publication from multiple departments
  • Ensure all material is posted to pages following standards for accuracy, timeliness, and execution.
  • Ensure quality, and timeliness of the content on pages and other digital channels
  • Write, edit, and provide expert advice on content creation
  • A diploma or degree in a communications-related discipline is beneficial
  • 3-5 years’ experience in communications or digital marketing
  • Sitecore, SharePoint, or other CMS certification is an asset
  • Expert knowledge of multi-platform content delivery strategies (desktop, mobile, tablet)
  • Experience working with a range of content management systems and collaboration sites, including Sitecore or similar
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM
  • Experience using SEO campaign management software (such as SEMrush, BrightEdge, etc.)
  • Up-to-date understanding of organic search trends, including search engine algorithm changes, the latest tools, and technologies
  • Experience in advanced web technologies including tag management
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Webtrends)
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google AdWords campaigns
  • Understanding of digital and social media channels, monitoring tools, and evaluation techniques
  • Data-driven, strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
  • 1 + years of front-end development experience using web technologies (HTML 5, CSS)
  • User experience or visual design experience is an asset
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, strong verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines
  • Experience operating in a consultative role supporting a range of stakeholders
