Our client, a leader in their field, has partnered with David Aplin Group to grow their team in the Calgary/Vancouver area. This is a 12-month contract opportunity that is hybrid and requires 1-2 days in the office.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expertise in business processes and formulate system objectives while considering the implications of the application of technology to the current and future states of the business
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to prioritize requirements and communicate different messages effectively to different audiences
  • Drive collaboration to facilitate/identify discussions that drive productivity & effective utilization of our strategic initiatives
  • Perform needs analysis based on business requirements and ensure solutions being proposed to meet the organizational and business goals
  • Identify continuous improvements; provide process modeling and gap analysis to recommend improvements
  • Execute upon recommended improvements relating to process development and implementation
  • Navigate and deliver in ambiguous environments (limited information, complex stakeholder management)
  • Use interpersonal and communication skills to engage with employees, contractors, and vendors on-site and at all levels of the organization
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Commerce, or Arts and will consider any equivalent education
  • 5+ years of progressively senior-level experience in designing, delivering, and supporting Information Technology processes and systems for end-users and operational teams, preferably in a heavy industrial environment
  • 2+ years working knowledge of digital sustainment: facilitating and enabling the support of products
  • Familiarity with RASCIs, Operational Readiness Checklists, Business Impact Analysis, Impact & Urgency Matrix, Service Level Objectives, support model workflow diagrams
  • Working knowledge of ITSM/DevOps processes, and ServiceNow/ADO
  • Some understanding of various technologies, e.g., networks, databases, servers, cloud
  • Some experience with training large groups, preferably product or development teams; able to articulate concepts and processes to various stakeholders
  • Exceptional communications (verbal and written) skills, including the development of presentation material and business justification documents
  • Strong knowledge of business analysis techniques, process improvement, and organizational change management
  • Strong ability to create journey maps, service blueprints, or other visual representations of user needs
  • Ability to understand and translate complex issues and turn business concerns into suggested solutions
  • Experience moving through projects, shifting focus from small details to understanding the whole system and the relationship between them
  • Experience in Mining Operations and Digital Operations would be considered an asset
  • Business Analysis Certification or credentials would be considered an asset
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification or experience would be considered an asset
